First and foremost, I would like to thank Dr. Nicholas Sama for giving me my life back!
I was referred to Dr. Nicholas Sama when one of two femur fractures, caused by Prolia injections, failed to heal. I underwent two emergency surgeries performed by an emergency surgeon to install ORIF hardware in both hip and femurs and the process was not easy. Needless to say, I was very worried and upset about having a third surgery, within a year, to undergo an ORIF Revision. Dr. Sama put me completely at ease and treated me like a member of his own family. He promised me that he would treat me like I was his own mom, and he did exactly that!
Dr. Sama removed the hardware in my hip and femur and performed an extensive surgery to install new hardware and bone grafts. Dr. Sama and Royce Matthew, PA, visited me each day that I was in the hospital to ensure that I was comfortable. When I returned home, each and every question was answered promptly, with respect and genuine concern. His office assistant, Barbara deGroat, is exceptionally personable and helpful as is Dr. Sama’s entire professional staff.
At every appointment, Dr. Sama reviewed x-rays with me to specifically point out the healing that was taking place. On December 28, 2020, I was elated to hear that both fractures are completely healed!
I have made great progress and able to walk freely and exercise daily. I am enjoying life again and look forward to activities with my family and friends and traveling again.
I have never experienced such great care and “caring” than I did with Dr. Sama and his “Dream Team”.
