In August 2020, the summer leading up to my senior year of high school, I injured my knee practicing football. I was a 3 sport varsity athlete preparing to play lacrosse in college. I went for an MRI at HSS in Stamford and was seen by Dr. Karen Sutton. At which point Dr. Sutton informed me that I would need surgery and reassured me that after surgery, extensive physical therapy and hard work, my goal of playing lacrosse at the collegiate level can still be attained. On October 15, 2020, Dr. Sutton performed posterolateral corner reconstruction on my left knee. After a very painful recovery and several months of therapy I was cleared to play varsity lacrosse my senior year. I was able to play every minute of every game that season and also committed to play Lacrosse at Union College. Now as a freshman, I am playing college lacrosse on a nationally ranked team competing at a high level. I am very grateful to have met Dr. Sutton and having her perform my surgery to get me back to the same condition I was prior to my injury.
