I had been a very serious runner, and I had been experiencing hip pain for a long period of time which dragged into over 5 years of pain. I could no longer even sleep on one side of my body due to the pain. I went to numerous orthopedic doctors and I had no positive results. One doctor finally diagnosed my issue, but told me he could not help and mentioned Dr. Bryan Kelly's name. I submitted my case for review, and I was fortunate that Dr. Kelly agreed to see me. He diagnosed my hip impingement, and he performed surgery back in January 2009. It is now approaching 11 years since my surgery, and I am very happy with my results. Dr. Kelly, his staff and the rest of the workers at HSS were fantastic in guiding me from the start to the finish. Dr. Kelly explained in detail what was going to be done. He even called me with my diagnosis. I was very impressed. I am happy to say that I am still competing in road race. While I am slower due to age and less training, I am just happy to be able to compete at this point in my life. Thank you to Dr. Kelly and the rest of the staff at HSS.
