I had surgery in 2014 for avascular necrosis of my talus with another surgeon. It worked for a year, but slowly became more and more painful. By mid 2019, I was having trouble walking and was having difficulty at the gym (I have always been very active) I went for 2 other opinions before finding Dr Cody. Her explanation made sense - though this is a rare injury, not many orthopedics knew what to do for my ankle or if it would even help. I am now almost 6 months post-op and I have little to no pain. I am walking almost a mile a day with no device and have even attempted a lighter hike. My scars (which looked really bad on my first pre-op appointment and are posted pre and post-op) are nearly invisible. I am very happy with my results and with Dr Cody. I would definitely recommend her to anyone for ankle and foot injuries. I look forward to continued improvement and being able to return to working out at the gym and participating in harder hiking trails.
