Amazing Amy: Eccentric Yoga Contortion Entertainer, life long presenter of advanced yoga as an entertaining and inspiring performing art, experienced arthritis in both hips.

My left hip replacement was in Nov. 1998 at age 44 and my right hip replacement was in Jan. 2015 at age 60, both times under the care of Douglass Padgett, MD and the physical therapists at HSS.

Thanks to the incredible expertise of HSS professionals, I was able, also thanks to my yoga training and healthy vegetarian diet and lifestyle, to continue my performances of advanced yoga at an advanced age!
