Although my surgery may be considered minor by some, neither Dr. Elliott nor HSS treated me with any less care or attention. The pride which everyone takes is palpable. Dr. Elliott came to see me prior to surgery and after. He wanted to make sure that I was ok and well enough to return home. The nurses were attentive to my needs and cared about me unconditionally. The security guard who welcomed us into the hospital at 6 am wished me luck and smiled as I left in the afternoon. Surgery is an event to be avoided at all costs, but when its necessary, it's comforting to know that the hospital and doctor one chooses unconditionally cares about its patients.
