Alexandra Masi

Prior to coming to HSS and working with Dr. Bryan Kelly, I was experiencing extreme low back and right hip pain. As a modern dance major in college with the desire to pursue a professional dancing career, I was disheartened by the condition and pain I was experiencing in my hip. During the spring semester of my first year of college I had to stop dancing due to pain and increasing limitation in the hip due to a labrum tear, a bone spur, and overall inflammation in the hip joint. Dr. Kelly was an incredible doctor, encouraging, and after surgery I returned to complete health. Experiencing this injury and working through physical therapy prior to returning to dance professionally changed my understanding of the physical body and the relationship of the mind-body being. Working with the HSS team & Dr. Bryan Kelly was a blessing and has given me access to a stronger and more intelligent dancing body than I knew was possible! Thank you, Dr. Kelly & HSS, for giving me the gift of health and dance.
