Hace 4 años me diagnosticaron tanto en México como en el HSS la necesidad de operarme la mano derecha por desgaste de la coyuntura en la muñeca. El temor a perder facultades en la mano derecha me llevó a posponer la operación lo más que pude. Visité a la Dra Kang para ver su opinión sobre una posible operación de la muñeca derecha. Ella me confirmó que era necesaria, pero no urgente. Siguió pasando el tiempo y el dedo pulgar también me molestaba mucho. Pedí cita para la operación. En mi visita previa le dije a la doctora que quería que me operara al mismo tiempo de la muñeca y del pulgar. Lo pensó y aceptó. Las dos operaciones han sido todo un éxito. Estoy muy contenta y agradecida con la Dra. Kang: ya no me duele la mano y tengo todas mis funciones.
Four years ago I was diagnosed both in Mexico and at HSS with wear and tear of the joint of my right wrist, requiring surgery. My fear of losing function in my right hand caused me to postpone the surgery for as long as possible. I went to see Dr. Kang to get her opinion about the possibility of the right wrist operation. She confirmed that it was necessary, but not urgent. As time went by, my thumb also began to bother me quite a bit. I requested a date for the surgery. During my previous visit, I told the doctor that I wanted her to operate at the same time on my wrist and on my thumb. She considered my request and agreed. Both operations have been a complete success. I am very happy and grateful to Dr. Kang: my hand doesn’t hurt anymore and I have regained total function.
