About 8 years ago, I tore my rotator cuff in both shoulders. Dr. Dines was recommended to me by my PCP and I must say, "This man does some incredible work!" I was highly apprehensive about getting operated on being that I lived with this issue for so long, I thought why chance surgery, but Dr. Dines understood my concerns. He thoroughly and patiently told me his thoughts and concerns and was confident in not only his skill set but that of the hospital and staff. He was more than confident that with all of the tools and assets available to us to get this done properly, along with proper PT (rehab) my recovery should go well. And it did, big time!

My right shoulder was operated on January 25, 2013 (it took 3 months to heal). The second surgery, my left shoulder, was performed on June 13, 2014. This was a MASSIVE tear and so it took about 5 months of healing and rehab. And now here I am "Back in the Game". Lifting more weight than I EVER did before! I'm more flexible (increased mobility), I'm stronger, faster and able to compete in CrossFit even more so with people half my age (47).

I can truly say that I am in the best condition of my life thanks to the staff at HSS, the good folks at Millennium Physical Therapy in Astoria, my CrossFit coach Joel Willis at CrossFit Debo, my CrossFit coaches Ashley and Justin at CrossFit Dynamix my CoreFit Chiropractor Dr. Rich and of course the man who put me back together, literally, Dr. David Dines. Having the "will" to want to get better helps tremendously but having the right people around you to get yourself right is paramount! The doctors' at HSS have the reputation they have for a reason. They truly are the best in the business and they care, they really do!

All I can say is, "Thank you HSS and Dr. David Dines!!!" This could not have happen without you. Seriously!
